Data protection statement

We are pleased to hear that you are interested in our Parador website. Protecting your private sphere is important to us. Below we give you comprehensive information about how your details are handled.

1. Saving access data in server log files

You can visit our websites without providing personal details. We only save access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the file requested, date and time of the request, the volume of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is analysed solely to ensure that the site operates without problems and to improve our services and does not allow us to draw conclusions about your person.

Any consent given about saving your customer details (e.g. on the contact page) can be revoked by you at any time with effect for the future.

2. Data collection and usage for contract execution purposes and when opening a customer account

We collect personal details if you give us these voluntarily as part of your sample and catalogue order, if you get in touch with us (e.g. by contact form or email) or if you open a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. Inputting personal details is necessary both when ordering via a customer account that has been set up and when placing so-called “guest orders”. We use the details provided by you to process orders and to answer your questions. Once your customer account has been completely settled or deleted, your details are disabled and anonymised for further use, unless you have expressly consented to your details being used for another purpose or we reserve a right to use the details above and beyond this, which is legally permitted and about which we inform you thereinafter. Anonymising your customer account is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message to the Parador data protection officer (contact details see below).

Any consent given about saving your customer details can be revoked by you at any time with effect for the future.

3. Passing on data for order handling purposes

For order handling purposes, we give your details to the forwarding company assigned with the delivery, as long as these are necessary to deliver the samples and catalogues ordered.

4. Use of cookies

To make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. This involves small text files that are saved on your appliance. Some of the cookies used are deleted after the end of the browser session, in other words after closing your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your appliance and enable us to recognise your browser during your next visit (persistent cookies). This provides the technical possibility of forming so-called “user profiles”. We expressly point out that, by confirming the data protection conditions, you allow the use of cookies. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide to accept them on an individual basis or exclude the acceptance of cookies for particular cases or in general. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the United States as a rule. If the IP anonymisation function has been enabled on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google in member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the European Economic Area Agreement. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP anonymisation function is enabled on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be put together with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; we advise you, however, that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
