Before installation, the vinyl flooring elements must acclimatise and be kept at least 48 hours in their original packaging at the place of installation. Besides a firm, clean, dry substrate, the right underlay plays a crucial role. It compensates for slight uneven patches, reduces ambient and impact noise and, with an integrated moisture barrier, ensures the required moisture protection on mineral subfloors. When installing vinyl floors with an HDF core board, the integrated cork layer ensures that impact noise is reduced. An underlay from the Parador Akustik range is not necessary here.
During installation, for all vinyl products, certain minimum gaps to fixed objects and walls must be maintained. For vinyl with an HDF core board, this “expansion joint” should be at least 8 mm, for vinyl made of solid material it should be 5 mm.
Once the underlay is installed, it is possible to start with the actual installation process. With a floating installation, the vinyl floor is laid without being firmly fastened to the subfloor. Due to the simple click technology, Parador vinyl floors can be installed stably without prior knowledge. For optical reasons we recommend installing the long edges parallel to the incidence of light. If there is more than one source of light, please go by the largest one. In general, care should be taken that the plank's groove faces towards the room. The floor is ready to walk on as soon as it has been installed. Remove spacer wedges and attach Parador skirting board with clip technology – that's it!
For the optimal utilisation of the floor, we recommend applying a PU cleaner. This prevents the floor from getting dirty and provides full care for your vinyl.
If you use the floor for commercial purposes (e.g. in car showrooms, hairdressing salons, etc.), we also recommend applying a PU anti-colour care product, which increases its resistance to colouring chemicals.
