Installation

Before installation, the planks must acclimatise and be kept at least 48 hours in their original packaging at the place of installation to prevent warping and cupping. Besides a firm, clean, dry substrate, the right underlay plays a crucial role. It compensates for slight uneven patches and, with an integrated moisture barrier, ensures the required moisture protection on mineral subfloors. If an underlay is used on mineral subfloors without a moisture barrier, a PE film must be installed in addition. Special Akustik products from Parador reduce both ambient noise and impact noise.

Once the underlay is installed, it is possible to start with the actual installation of the laminate floor. With a floating installation, the laminate floor is laid without being firmly fastened to the subfloor. At least 8 – 10 mm should be maintained as an expansion joint.

Care should also be taken that the plank's groove faces towards the room. For optical reasons we also advise installing the long edges parallel to the incidence of light. If there is more than one source of light, please go by the largest one.

Installing laminate flooring in wet rooms tends not to be recommended, as the penetration of damp and the resulting damage to the floor cannot be ruled out. If you should nevertheless decide to install the floor in a permanently damp room, a distance should be kept to areas where water splashes, such as showers, bath tubs or the like.

Due to the simple click technology, Parador laminate floors can be easily installed in this way without prior knowledge.

The Parador laminate floors are suitable for use on underfloor heating systems.
